SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Animal Shelter has exceeded its capacity, housing 191 dogs as of Friday, February 21, according to an announcement from San Angelo Animal Services.
With a limit of 180 dogs, the shelter now faces the decision to euthanize 15 dogs unless they are adopted, fostered, or transferred by 4 p.m. Saturday, March 1.
Officials are urging immediate action from the community to help reduce the shelter’s population. Interested adopters, fosters, or rescue organizations are encouraged to contact Concho Valley PAWS at info@cvpaws.org as soon as possible.
