Tom Green County Sheriff Nick Hanna asked the County Commissioners for a 10 percent across-the-board pay raise for his deputies and jailers at this morning’s county budget workshop.
SAN ANGELO, TX — Along Celebration Bridge, fireworks technicians from Greg “Pyro” Schaat’s pyrotechnics team are spacing the “cakes” close as this year’s construction of the Oakes Street Bridge by TxDOT has precluded the second surface for firing the show as has been done in the past. This is the first year ever that this many fireworks launch cakes have been deployed on Celebration Bridge.
The traditional concert and fireworks show in San Angelo is held July 3 at the Bill Aylor, Dr. Memorial RiverStage, 16 E. Avenue A. Called “A Star-Spangled Banner Concert & Fireworks” the festivities for the day begin at 12 p.m. when the gates to the River Stage open so patrons can claim a spot on the hill in front of the stage.
The family of Bernabé Gonzales, 61, of San Angelo, said their husband and father has been missing since Friday afternoon. Mr. Gonzales has Alzheimer’s disease, his wife, Elizabeth De La Cruz, told us.
SAN ANGELO, TX — The 2023 San Angelo Chamber of Commerce’s West Texas Legislative Summit will feature two big names, both on the national scene, but one, Senator John Cornyn, is Texan through and through. Senator Cornyn will be joined by U.S. Senator Joni Ernst of Iowa.
According to reporters on scene, on June 26, at around 4 p.m. San Angelo police officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash that occurred at the intersection of W Avenue N and Sherwood Wy.
